Welcome to Skill Passport! This guide will walk you through creating your profile, which is essential for every user on our platform. Let's get started!

Step 1: Choose Your Profile Creation Method

After registering and logging in, you have two options to create your profile:

1. Upload your resume (Recommended)
2. Answer four questions about your experience

Option 1: Upload Your Resume

This is the quickest way to build your profile:

1. Click the blue box to browse for your resume file, or drag and drop it into the designated area. (PDF or Word Format)

2. Wait for the resume to be parsed. You will see a loading bar with status messages.

3. Once uploaded, you will see your file name displayed.

4. Review the extracted information on the following pages, including your work history, education, and hobbies.

5. Click 'Continue' to view your visual graph of skills.

Option 2: Manual Profile Creation

If you don't have a resume, click "Continue without resume" and follow these steps:

1. Enter your work experience, including job titles and durations.

2. Provide your highest education level and field of study.

3. Share your "superpower" and hobbies.

• Your superpower is a unique ability or strength that sets you apart in your field.
• Examples include adaptability, creativity, leadership, or problem-solving.

4. Click 'Build my profile' to generate your visual skills graph.

Step 2: Review Your Visual Graph of Skills

After creating your profile, you will see a visual representation of your skills:

• Your skills are organized into Technical, Functional, and Human categories.
• This visual representation helps you and potential employers quickly understand your skill set.

How Does SkyHive Extract Skills from Your Resume?

SkyHive uses advanced artificial intelligence to analyze and understand the skills in your resume. Our technology works through several sophisticated steps:

Text Analysis and Skill Recognition: Our natural language processing (NLP) system reads through your entire resume, identifying both clearly stated skills and those implied by your experience. The system understands multiple languages, making it effective for professionals worldwide.

Intelligent Skill Mapping: Once skills are identified, our machine learning algorithms match them to standardized skill frameworks. This process ensures your skills are appropriately categorized and aligned with industry standards. For example, if you list "data visualization" as a skill, our system understands its relationship to related skills like data analysis and business intelligence.

Comprehensive Skill Assessment: The system evaluates your skill levels by analyzing:

• How long you've used each skill

• The context in which you've applied them

• Relevant certifications and credentials

• Projects and achievements that demonstrate skill application

Real-Time Validation: Your skills are validated against current labor market data to ensure they align with today's workforce demands. This process helps maintain accuracy and relevance in an evolving job market.

Note: Skills can be added, removed or adjusted under your main profile dashboard.
