Discovering Your Career Path

Overview

Skill Passport's Career Pathways tool empowers you to explore new career opportunities by identifying the skills you need to acquire for your desired roles. It provides personalized learning pathways to help you bridge any skill gaps, supporting your career advancement through targeted upskilling.

Instructions

To explore a Career Path, simply click on the Career Path option in the left-hand menu.

Level Up Your Career 

This section presents a potential career progression from your current position, as listed in your profile. It compares your existing skillset to the skills required for this new opportunity, based on labor market data.

Browse through the suggested career paths and select "View" for more details on any that interest you.

Explore Career Paths

1. Choose one of the suggested career paths you would like to pursue, or manually enter your desired job title.

2. Once you've selected a Career Path, Skill Passport will generate the following information:

  • Selected Position Title
  • Average Compensation: This figure is based on the labor market average for similar roles. Keep in mind that actual salaries may vary.
  • Match: This indicates how closely your current skills align with the skills required for the selected role.
  • Training Courses: These are upskilling opportunities offered by external training providers to help you acquire the necessary skills.
  • Total Price: This is the sum of the costs associated with your selected training courses.
  • Career Path Skills: These are the skills that are essential for your chosen Career Path, based on labor market data for the selected position.
