This guide explains the key features available to help you develop your career, find opportunities, and reach your peak potential on Skill Passport.

The Peak Potential dashboard is your central hub for professional development. It provides a comprehensive view of:

  • Your current skills
  • Recommended courses
  • Matching job opportunities

Viewing Your Skills

Skills Overview The Skills Overview displays the complete collection of skills in your profile, encompassing both technical and human capabilities. 

Percentage Match This metric indicates how well your skillset aligns with the labor market requirements for your job title. The percentage is calculated by comparing your current skills against industry-standard skill requirements and identifying any gaps.

Adding Skills: To expand your skill set, select "Add More Skills" to access the My Skills - Skill Search page, where you can browse and add relevant capabilities to your profile.

Skills List: 

  • Blue indicators show skills you currently possess
  • Red indicators highlight skills gaps based on market demands
  • Each skill displays a proficiency level (1-5)

By default, skills extracted from your resume are set at level 3.

Understanding Proficiency Levels

  1. Beginner: Basic understanding
  2. Intermediate: Working knowledge
  3. Experienced: Competent application (default level for resume-extracted skills)
  4. Advanced: Deep understanding
  5. Expert: Mastery level

To update your skill level:

  1. Find the skill you want to update
  2. Click the three-dot menu next to it
  3. Select your new proficiency level

Learning & Development Section

This section helps you grow professionally by:

  • Suggesting relevant courses based on your skills
  • Providing direct access to course content
  • Highlighting skills covered in each course

Job Opportunities Section

Browse matching job listings that include:

  • Company information
  • Location details
  • Salary/pay rate
  • Direct application links
  • Skills match percentage
  • Additional position details

Advance My Career

The Advance My Career dashboard offers three career path options:

  1. Level Up Path

    • Shows natural progression from your current role

    • Based on real labor market data

  2. Skills-Based Path

    • Suggests roles matching your current skill set

    • Displays skills match percentage

  3. Interest-Based Path

    • Recommends roles aligned with your hobbies

    • Helps ensure career satisfaction

For each career path, you can:

  • Review required core skills

  • See which skills need improvement

  • Identify missing skills

  • Access targeted course recommendations

Find a Job

  • Local and remote opportunities

  • Customizable location radius for local jobs

  • Top skills companies are hiring for

  • Detailed job cards showing:

    • Skills match percentage

    • Salary information

The Advance My Career dashboard offers three career path options:

You can use this feature to find alternative career paths that match your skills. For each career option, you can view:

  • Typical career progression

  • Detailed role information

  • Compensation details

  • Skills alignment with your profile

  1. Regularly update your skill proficiency levels

  2. Review course recommendations monthly

  3. Set job alerts for positions that interest you

  4. Explore different career paths periodically

  5. Keep your profile information current
